Happy Valentines day everyone!!!

I love valentines day.  

There.  I said it.

I know that some people cant stand the holiday and claim it is  just a way for hallmark to make more money, but I really enjoy the chance to celebrate love, and frankly I will take any excuse to eat more chocolate.  

I also think its a great time to reflect on and praise the One who is Love, and to remember what love really means... and what Love did.  It's SO much more than warm-fuzzies and hand holding,  red and pink,  chocolate and love songs, frills and froofyness.   (yup. froofyness.  that's my word and I'm stickin' to it.)

 Speaking of what love means, this song is amazing:

..."For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Romans 8:38 - 39

..."In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  This is Love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."  1 John 4:9-11

PS.  this is totally random, but my valentine sent me this link and I almost peed my pants laughing.... he travels a LOT this time of the year, and this pretty much sums up how weird and awkward I feel when he is gone.
